BIOFUEL INTRODUCTION:

Growing of BioFuels is an "Extensive Agricultural Operation" and requires an adequate provision of suitable land, the right climate and access to markets, available service inputs, operating staff and labour.

Many "Developed Countries" requiring clean, renewal BioFuel supplies do not have adequate or affordable land available, for the cultivation of BioFuel Crops.

Many "Undeveloped and Developing Countries" on the other hand may have undeveloped, fallow or unproductive areas of land available for re-development and establishment of suitable plantations.

Africa is a case in point! Large arable land areas are as-yet underdeveloped and could be utilised for the production of renewable resources, for the production of BioFuels!

GroPower, together with its technical support partners [Amandla Resources, ZCSD, Thuthuka Group and others], proposes to unlock this potential and make available suitable land areas, for the purpose of growing both non-food and dual-use food/biofuel crops, for the primary purpose of establishing BioFuel feedstock and BioMass plantations that will supply the necessary BioMass and/or Oilseed crops for conversion into BioDiesel and also BioEthanol, where appropriate or for direct conversion via Gasification and Pyro-processing, for the production of Electric Power.

Investors, Development partners and Off-take contracts are sought, to strengthen these initiatives.
